iPhone 8 Review
iPhone 8 Review The iPhone age and eight-plus came out in late 2017 right before the iPhone 10 and because of the iPhone 10 they were quickly forgotten about but the eight and eight plus are still being sold by Apple today and are actually really solid phones hey how’s it going I’m Josh from ninety one tech and today we’re talking about the iPhone 8 and 8 plus how do they hold up and are they still worth buying in late 2019 [Music] if you want an immediate answer yes the iPhone a tenday plus are still worth buying right now I’d argue that the iPhone 11 is currently the best of valued iPhone but if that’s a bit out of your price range and you’re not a fan of the 10r then the eight and eight plus are your best choice if you don’t want that home button the iPhone 10 are really is a great phone.
But if you want to save a little money or prefer the older iPhone form factor then the iPhone 8 and 8 plus are the phones to buy the iPhone 7 and 7 plus are not that much different and still really good but even if Apple was still selling them I’d still recommend the eight and eight plus this is because of a couple of reasons first they start at 64 gigabytes instead of 32 and second they’re literally the best iPhones you can get with the home button so the iPhone 8 and 8 plus absolutely great phones and worth buying right now if you’re not feeling the iPhone 11 or 10 are I think they’re both a better value and I’ll explain why later but regardless the eight na+ are still amazing phones and I don’t think you would regret picking one up in late 2019 that being said let’s take a step back here and start with the design of the iPhone 8 and 8 plus these phones are very similar to the six success and 7 although I would say they’re pretty much the perfected version they have a glass back and aluminum frame and not only look great but feel really premium as well we have silver space grey and gold with the iPhone 8 as well as an amazing-looking red version that I don’t believe Apple sells anymore so it’s probably a bit rarer and more expensive on the used market and because of that glass back we do have wireless charging which is great these phones are also water resistant which is also nice and they are capable of fast charging although no fast charger comes in the box.
iPhone 8 Retina display
There of course also is no headphone jack but you probably expected that at this point the iPhone 8 has a 4.7 inch Retina display whereas the A+ has a 5.5 inch display both are pretty similar and both look pretty good so no worries there even if they aren’t OLED there are a few benefits to the plus model but generally I just say go for whichever phone feels better in your hand if you’re kind of torn between the two after all regardless of extra features the main thing you’ll be doing with your phone is holding it in your hands so you might as well get the one that feels better that way under the display we have a capacitive home button if you’re coming from a success or Bessy or older it’s going to seem a bit first but essentially it’s kind of a fake home button it doesn’t physically click when you push down but instead mimics a click by vibrating it’s much better than you would expect and you’ll get used to it pretty much immediately we of course have touch ID over face ID whether you prefer face ID or touch ID it doesn’t really matter touch ID here is blazing fast on the iPhone 8 and you probably won’t have many complaints the main camera on both phones is a 12 megapixel sensor with the ability to record video in up to 4k at 60 frames per second here’s some video it looks quite good apples been the best with a video probably since almost forever and so even though the iPhone 8 is a couple of years old it does a great job as for pictures it’s also really good.
iPhone 8 Review With that too and I’ll show some photos in a moment on the iPhone 8 plus we have a second telephoto camera lens that allows for 2 times zoom as well as portrait mode photos a portrait shot is when the background behind the subject is blurred out like this one it’s a cool feature and one that you should find some use for this phone can take some really nice shots in the right situation that being said I would not buy the iPhone 8 plus over the 8 just for the telephoto lens and I’ll get into why in a bit but yeah it has it and the portrait shots are nice the selfie camera on the iPhone 8 is okay but nothing spectacular it’s 7 megapixels on both sizes and can produce beautiful shots like this one all right maybe not beautiful although the subject doesn’t help it’s okay it’ll do the job but it definitely won’t blow your mind both at now put up some photos for you to see for yourself overall while the iPhone eighths and A+ don’t have the best cameras out there anymore they are still pretty good and they’re gonna be more than enough for anyone looking at a phone in this price range battery life.
